Discontinuing manual instructions

To help more of our clients realise the benefits of digital banking, we have decided to make HSBCnet the only available channel for you to make payments and initiate certain trade finance transactions in the UAE, effective 1 November 2020.

From this date, all manual payment instructions and manual trade finance transactions that can be conducted on HSBCnet will no longer be accepted in physical form and must be submitted through the digital channel.

Manual to Digital Checklist of of applicable payment instructions and trade finance transactions:

Payments:

  • Payment Smart Forms / Manual Instructions

Trade Finance Imports:

  • Documentary Credit issuance and amendments
  • Import Bill Instructions
  • Request for Import Finance

Trade Finance Exports:

  • Request for Pre and Post Shipment financing
  • Documentary Credit transfer
  • Documentary Credit confirmations

Trade Finance Guarantees:

  • Guarantee/Standby Documentary Credit application requests and amendment requests
  • Guarantee/Standby Documentary Credit claims
  • Guarantee/Standby Documentary Credit cancellations requests
  • Guarantee account information

You can access HSBCnet conveniently and safely anytime and from anywhere, from a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone, reducing your reliance on physical documentation and branch visits.

What you need to do

If don’t have access to HSBCnet, or currently make payments or trade transactions manually then we are on hand to support with this transition to digital.

Contact your Relationship Manager to get access to HSBCnet, so that we can ensure your transition from manual to digital is smooth and hassle free.

If you are already HSBCnet enabled and currently conduct all transactions via this channel, then no further action is required.
