UAE Corporate account holders: Send domestic payments up to AED 25,000 using the Immediate Payment Instructions (IPI) from 25 July 2021

Starting 25 July 2021, we have updated our e-channels (HSBCnet and Connect) so that you can send domestic payments in AED using UAE IPI up to AED 25,000. Previously, this limit was AED 10,000.

UAE IPI is a 24/7 payment system in the UAE which supports real-time domestic AED funds transfers. Please be reminded that the UAE IPI scheme supports certain specific Purpose of Payment codes.

You may kindly check the supported Purpose of Payment codes on this link: https://www.business.hsbc.ae/en-gb/ae/generic/download-centre

What this means to you:

UAE IPI allows you to send and receive payments faster and more efficiently. Here’s what’s changed on HSBCnet and Connect from 25 July 2021 for outward payments via the UAE IPI:

  • HSBCnet: Create payments on-screen, up to AED 25,000 using the ‘Send instantly with immediate confirmation’ option. You’ll be able to use this option to make and send such transactions through UAE IPI route.
  • HSBC Connect and API: You can send Priority Payments up to AED 25,000 via UAE IPI using the HSBCnet File Upload service, HSBC Connect and APIs.

If you have any questions, please contact your UAE HSBC representative or local HSBCnet Support Centre.
