In March 2019, HSBC announced it will be a founding partner for the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The UK shares its talent and expertise with other nations to tackle global challenges. The UK pavilion theme for Expo 2020 Dubai is "Innovating for a share future" and seeks to explore some of the great questions of our time about how the future will look in themes such as:

- how will we travel
- how will we live
- what will we eat
- what will we learn
